When the mines closed in 1956, the railroad was purchased by a company which operated a small section of the line for tourist excursions. The EBT railroad held the distinction of the only original narrow gauge railroad surviving east of the Rocky Mountains for much of its history until the railroad ceased

I will say that a stranger thought it was a Dooney and Bourke!!! "I love this purse and have received many compliments on it. However, one of the pins holding the handles fell out somewhere. I tried to work with Amazon to get a new pin for it, but because I received it in March, they cannot do anything. I will use a paper clip to hold the handle, but obviously it will not look like a purse anyone would want to purchase. I expected it to last at least through the summer."
